System Recommendations - The following are the Recommendations to access all features on CMS

Any Windows PC capable of running Internet Explorer 6 (or higher) and connecting to the Internet

Adobe Acrobat Reader

Microsoft Word 2000 or higher. If you don't have Microsoft Word 2000 (or higher), install Word Viewer.

You may also want to download a PDF Writer .

Additional Recommendations - To ensure you have the best possible experience using CMS, please make the following changes:

Configure Adobe Acrobat to open .pdf files in a separate window.

  • Open Adobe Acrobat Reader from Start - Programs
  • Press CTRL-K to bring up the Preferences window. (Or select Edit menu - Preferences)
  • In the Preferences Window, select Internet in the list on the left.
  • Uncheck the box which says 'Display PDF in browser'
  • Hit OK and close Acrobat Reader

Printing Colors in the Grid (printing background colors in tables)

  • --For Internet Explorer 7 and earlier versions
  • Open Internet Explorer
  • On the "Tools" menu click "Internet Options"
  • In the Internet Options Window, select the Advanced tab
  • Scroll down to the "Printing" section
  • Check the "Print background colors and images" box
  • Click OK to close the Internet Options window
  • --For Internet Explorer 8
  • On the "Print" menu click "Page Setup"
  • Check the "Print background colors and images" checkbox
  • Click OK to close the dialog box

Configure Microsoft Word or Word Viewer to open .doc files in a separate window. (instructions follow for Windows XP - you must have Microsoft Word 2000 (or higher) OR Word Viewer installed)

  • Open Windows Explorer by right-clicking the start button and selecting "Explore"
  • On the "Tools" menu click "Folder Options"
  • Select the "File Types" tab at the top.
  • Scroll down the "Registered file types" and find the DOC extension (They are listed alphabetically)
  • Click the "Advanced" button
  • Uncheck the "Browse in same window" checkbox
  • Click OK, then OK again and close Windows Explorer
  • Word documents should now open in their own window
